Welcome to Four Oaks Estate, a spacious countryside retreat just outside Carlisle in the peaceful village of Cargo. When booked together, Four Oaks House, Four Oaks Cottage, and Four Oaks Apartment combine to create the perfect setting for large family gatherings, reunions and retreats.
Set within the Cumbrian countryside, the estate offers plenty of space for everyone to relax together while still having the privacy of separate accommodation. With multiple kitchens, living areas, gardens, hot tubs, and entertainment spaces, it’s ideal for groups who want to spend time together while also enjoying their own space.

Estate Overview
When booked together, Four Oaks Estate can accommodate up to 28 guests across 13 bedrooms spread between the three properties. The estate offers multiple kitchens and dining areas, allowing groups to cook and eat together with ease, as well as three private hot tubs for relaxing after a day exploring Cumbria. Guests can also enjoy a games room and a variety of outdoor activities, along with large gardens, patios, and outdoor seating areas throughout the estate. There is parking available across the property, making it convenient for larger groups travelling separately. The layout allows everyone to spend time together while still enjoying the comfort and flexibility of having their own space within separate accommodation on the same estate.

Booking FAQs
Deposit: 25% due at booking. Remaining balance and a £750 refundable security deposit are due 4 weeks before arrival.
Security Deposit: Returned within 1 week after departure, provided the property is left clean and undamaged.
Hot Tub: Included in the price and available year-round.
Linen & Towels: Beds are made with linen and towels. Please bring your own towel for the hot tub.
Dogs: Welcome at £20 per dog per stay.
Kitchen Basics: Tea towels, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, cloths, and sponges provided. Tea, coffee, and sugar sachets included.
Peaceful Stays: To help everyone enjoy a peaceful stay at Four Oaks Estate, we ask guests to respect our no-parties policy, including hen and stag groups. Our homes are best suited to families and pre-formed groups staying together, and we kindly request that outdoor areas are kept quiet after 9:30pm.

Four Oaks Apartment is located just outside Carlisle, with easy access from the M6. Gretna Green is just a 10-minute drive, and the Lake District is only a 30-minute drive away, making it an ideal base for exploring the best of Cumbria.

Lovely place to stay with great amenities very clean and the people in the area are very welcoming with lots of walking opportunities surrounding, I would recommend
Stayed here in early November. A brilliant place with everything that you would possibly need. Great garden, play area and toys for children, and hot tub for the adults. The owners are contactable at all times and are very responsive if you need them. Hopefully we will be back in summer.
