Located just outside Carlisle in Cumbria, Cargo is a small, peaceful Village surrounded by the River Eden. With easy access from the M6, Four Oaks House is only a 10-minute drive to Gretna Green, Scotland and around 30 minutes from the Lake District, making it a convenient base for family getaways, group breaks and countryside stays near Carlisle.

When you arrive, you’ll find a private yard with parking for approximately 4 large cars. Extra parking may be available on site, so please let us know when making your reservation if this is required.

The yard features a 4-hole miniature crazy golf course, complete with fun extras and ideal for a little friendly competition. For younger guests, toy cars are ready for a race, while the rest of the space is perfect for relaxing and enjoying the countryside setting.

The large deck surrounds the private hot tub, creating a relaxing space to unwind after a day out. With seating for 6 and 120 jets, it’s ideal for letting the day slip away. The hot tub is covered by a gazebo with privacy curtains and mosquito nets, making it suitable to enjoy in different weather conditions.

The Space

Leading from the utility room, you’ll find the kitchen and dining area. With colourful LED lighting, the kitchen has a stylish black-and-white theme with modern granite surfaces.

The kitchen is well equipped for self-catering group stays, with a wide range of utensils for baking, cooking, dining and entertaining.

The dining area has a large extendable table, which can be shortened if required, and is surrounded by 14 striking chairs. Extra chairs can be found in the nearby bedrooms, so there is plenty of space for everyone.

Towards the far end of the kitchen diner is a cosy living area with banquet seating, making it a comfortable space to sit and relax together. The living area also has a large 55-inch wall-mounted HD Smart TV with a DVD player, along with a contemporary electric fireplace for colder evenings.

Playroom and Entertainment Space

The playroom is one of the highlights of Four Oaks House. Reached by a staircase from the kitchen, it provides plenty to keep children and adults entertained during your stay.

For those who would rather sit back and referee the games, there is a plush corner sofa along with smaller children’s sofas, making it a comfortable space for families to spend time together.

The playroom includes a 55-inch HD Smart TV and air conditioning, creating a relaxed entertainment space for guests of all ages.
